Kimberley Wray named SVP, director of Home Furnishings Group at Steinreich Communications

NEW YORK — Long-time industry journalist and communications professional Kimberley Wray has been named senior vice president and director of the Home Furnishings Group at Steinreich Communications, a public relations and communications firm serving the furniture and bedding industry.

 

Wray has more than 30 years of experience writing about the industry both as a communications consultant and as a writer and editor for national industry trade publications.

 

For the past 12 years, she has run her own consultancy business, offering communications and marketing and advertising services to industry executives along with several case goods and upholstery resources.

 

She also has worked as a senior contributing editor of Furniture, Lighting & Décor magazine and was vice president, marketing and communications for the High Point Market Authority from July 2006 to June 2010.

 

Previously she was a senior contributing editor at Furniture Insights, a publication of BDO Seidman, and also was vice president, marketing and communications at Connie Post Companies. Before that, she was vice president, marketing for Majec Inc., a sister company of Gefen Productions.

 

Wray also previously worked for Fairchild Publications, serving as group editor of HFN and editorial director at High Points Magazine. Before that she was editorial director of Spotlight Magazine.

 

Wray also is a co-founder of WithIT (Women in the Home Industries Today), a board member of the Furniture Fellowship and also was a former board member of the International Society of Furniture Designers (ISFD). Over the past year, she also has been a contributing writer for Home News Now.

 

In her new role, she reports to Stan Steinreich, president and CEO at Steinreich Communications.
