Sheila Long O’Mara brings more than 26 years of business journalism experience to Steinreich Communications, specializing in home furnishings.

Prior to joining Steinreich Communications, O’Mara launched and nurtured Home Furnishings Business as its editor in chief. She not only is a prolific writer and editor, but she managed the social media presence of the magazine as well. For more than 22 years, she has worked for the furniture industry’s leading publications – Furniture|Today, Home Furnishings Business and HFN – and knows the industry from top to bottom. She has a strong news background in consumer media, as well, from her tenure as a business reporter with the News & Record in Greensboro, N.C.

Long O’Mara’s intimate knowledge of home furnishings manufacturing and retailing and her ability to anticipate questions journalists ask are assets to our clients.

She received her bachelor’s of arts in journalism and a bachelor’s of science in political science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
